Altered Frame in Black & White

Hi there!
My post today is an altered project.
This is the second time for me to alter a frame.
The color theme is black & white.
Well, for some they like black & white color combo
so does one friend of my mine.

Here is my altered frame:

Black & White {Altered} Frame

The paper in the frame is from Me and My Big Ideas.

Painted the flourishes black then
embossed it with Ranger Holographic embossing powder.
The dress form from Tim Holtz Alterations Sewing Room
was painted white then embossed with Stampendous Shabby White enamel.
Added Stampendous pearlized mica fragments on the dress stand.

Embellished it here and there and the frame is done.
Had fun altering this frame and love how it turns out.

Try it out and create one.
Have a great and inspiring day!

Cheers,
irene

Wedding Card + SOUS Card Sketch

Playing along at Stuck On You Sketches .

Here is their second card sketch...

This time I made a wedding card for a very dear friend  who is getting married in a few days. I'm really really happy for her. Our friendship goes a long way back, more than 20years...started our carrier together in the same hospital and worked at the same unit...

I have not made a wedding card for years, yay!! Here's my card:

 Best Wishes

Stuck the card inside a frame and took a photo...
but I think it does look good inside the frame too :))

Surrounded the whole card (first layer) with pearls...
on the top layer, I used Sizzix Ornate Frame
Hearts & Vines embossing folder
and cut it out using scallop scissors.

The paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle.
I don't have a 'best wishes' stamp so I printed it from the computer.

there is one bird in the pattern paper itself, so I  attached another one.
the adhesive chipboard bird is from Studio 112 which
I painted with Snow Cap acrylic paint and
embossed using Ranger's holographic embossing powder.

For the flower, I put together...
a lace - which I formed into a flower then added ribbons,
then topped it off with two kinds of fabric flower which I stuck together.
added other embellishes...and the card is done.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Bazzill; Papers - Little Yellow Bicycle (Swoon & Wedding March)
Embellieshments: Pearls from stash; laces, ribbons, fabric flowers (John Lewis store and from stash); Studio 112 adhesive chipboard bird; Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Snow Cap; Rangers Holographic Embossing Powder;
Prima adhesive pearls; Sizzix Ornate Frame Hearts & Vines embossing folder; Cheery Lynn Design dies - Lace Corner Deco F & Olive Branches

Mailed the card today and on the way to my friend.
I hope you like it what I have created.
Best wishes to all of you.
Keep the love alive!!!

Have  a great and inspiring day.

Hugs,
irene

Birthday Card + Mojo 253 Sketch

Playing along with Mojo Monday and this is the Mojo 253 sketch

With this sketch, I created a birthday card for a friend who will be celebrating his birthday in a few days.
Here is my card...
Happy Birthday

The pattern paper is an old collection from Fancy Pants.
which is lying around in my stash.

I don't do much skewed panel  in my cards but had fun making this one.

Also, I always struggle with masculine cards but I'm happy how this card turns out.

The card has been mailed today...on the way to it's destination.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Bazzill; Paper - Fancy Pants (Stud Muffin & Mechanics);
Embellishments: Jute twine, Tim Holtz Alterations Gadget Gears die, Spellbinders Nestabilities Fleur De Lis Squares; Martha Stewart  corner punch
Stamps/Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black; Freebie sentiment stamps - Our Betty; Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Copper & Snow Cap; Gold embossing powder

I hope you like my card.
Simply create and have fun!!!

Sticky Note pad cover - Male version

Oh what a lovely day!
 And I'm back...3days in a row...
That's good right? Being creative...getting crafty.

Today's project is a clean, simple and quick one to make.
I have dress-up some sticky note pads.
I did the same project earlier this year for my female friends
and  you can have a look on it here.

My friend's husband have asked that  they wanted to have one.
I made two for each one.

I usually struggle with masculine projects.
So, just made it quite simple and here it is...

a look at the inside

obviously, this one will be use in a doctor's office
Leave the inside cover empty in case they will stick some notes on it temporarily.

This one will be at times in the car, home and office
and wherever he goes as he already told me that
he is going to show it around  to friends.
Hmmm he must be super excited like a boy with his toy. Lol!

That's it for now.
Create one for yourself or for your friends
See how happy they will be when it is personalize with their names.

Have a fabulous day!

Cheers,
irene

Counting my blessings

Hi friends, fellow crafters and non crafters alike.

Welcome to a brand new day!
a new blog look...
a start of something beautiful...
new promises and adventures....

Time to count our blessings.
 I'm counting mine...
Excited to share one with you today
this beautiful initial of my name
'I'
which I received from a gift swap with Janine.
I am blessed.
I wish that something wonderful will come your way, too.

This deserves to be posted in my blog.
Hope this will inspire you as it inspires me.

Isn't it so gorgeous?
It has all my favorite colors in it as well as scrapping items...

ribbons, lace, flowers,

butterflies, pearls, rhinestones...

It is so full of details and I'm loving it too much!
.
This side of the wall in my room has been empty for quite awhile now.
I can't decide what decoration to put in.
So, this gift is just so perfect and it's right where I scrap.
 Thank you Janine.
To see more of  Janine's inspiring creations,
do visit her blog here and leave her some love.

If you wonder what I swap in return, keep posted for that!
Will share it with you on my next post.

Hugs,
irene

Goodbye and Thank you Pretty Paper Studio

 Hi everyone.
This rather a sad post today as it is about leaving and saying  goodbye.
Today is my last day as part of the Design Team member at Pretty Paper Studio
It was a great pleasure being a part of PPS Design Team from its very start.
I am deeply grateful and honored.

I would also like to say
THANK YOU SO MUCH

It's been a journey, short perhaps but one that I will always remember.

To Pretty Paper Studio:
I wish you luck and more success.

To the pretty and talented Design Team members:
I will always treasure the gift of knowing you all.

What's up next with me?
I will continue to create for fun at the meantime.
