Altered Frame

Hi everyone!

Today I want to share a frame that I have altered. This is my first completed altered frame. Did try it out before but it didn't turned out the way I wanted it to be.This time I'm happy the way it turns out. I altered this frame and gave as a gift to my friend for her birthday.

 Altered Frame

The frame is from Ikea which I've got sometime back. Used Tim Holtz Alterations Sewing Room and Elegant Flourishes Bigz Die. The pattern papers are from Basic Grey Kissing Booth. The flowers are a mixture from Prima, Mulberry and from a local shop. The big leaves are from Prima and the smaller ones were punch using EK Success. The sentiment is from KaiserCraft - Life Sentiments. There's a lot of space in the frame for my friend's photos.

I will be playing along and sharing this with:
Make it Monday # 86 - Anything Goes Linky Party
Prairie Fairy Friday # 77 - Anything with Flowers
PanPastel UK #15 - Add A Flower

I hope you like it.

Cheers,
Irene

Thanks Card

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted to share a card with matching envelope. This is a Thank You card that I created a week or so ago for a friend but got so busy and exhausted from work and didn't have time to share it before.

Here's the card...

 Thanks

I used Basic Grey Kissing Booth pattern papers on this card. The word Thanks was die cut using Tim Holtz Alterations Chip Block die then applied Ranger Cotton Candy Stickles and outline it using Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick Distress Marker. Made a little fan then added some Glimmer Misted layered fabric flowers, little pink roses and a tiny bunch of other flowers to match. Added a bit of ribbon, lace and adhesive pearls. Finished it off with a butterfly at the corner using EK Success butterfly punch, layered it and distress the sides using walnut stain distress ink. Finish card size: 5 1/2" x 8"

an a closer view...

and I decorated a matching pink envelope!

I hope you like the card and inspired to create. Have fun!

Cherish Mini Album

Hi! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I'm excited to share with you today the mini album I made using Pretty Paper Studio's April Card Kit. Isn't it great? I already made 3 cards from the kit and there were still enough envelopes, folded notecards, and embellishments left. I have also used some of the remaining embellishments from the project kit. Such great kits, there's so much you can create with it! If you have both, you can mix them up, double the fun! I did use some pattern paper from my stash for the photo tags/mat inserts.

Anyway, onto my mini album:

Cherish Mini Album

Border punched on the Pattern Paper for the spine cover. I have cut into half the powder folded card and used each half to mat the front and back cover. Did some dry embossing for the front cover then distress it with Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg ink. The flowers were punch and layered.

Album spine view                                       Front side view

I have used 4 latte envelopes, 2  latte folded notecards for the photo tag/mat inserts and 1more folded notecard for the binding. Have you ever tried using sticky red tape? It's a really super sticky tape and I used it for binding this mini album.

Back of mini album

I have hundreds of pictures that needs to be scrap and this is one of them. The pictures on this album is from  a trip exactly a year ago. It was a day spent at Portobello's Saturday market. The color of the pictures fits perfectly with the mini album.

Here are the mini album pages:

Well, I have fun creating this album and I hope I have inspired you.

I worked this month with the following kits and here are my pretty paper creations:

Cardmaking Kit – Let’s Be Friends

 Best Friend

I color the flourishes with  Jenni Bowlin Cough Syrup Acrylic Paint Dabber. Used glossy accents to attached those buttons.

 Dream Big

Here, the glossy accents is really great in highlighting the tulips and to attached Maya Road Heart Trinket Pins on the butterflies. Used Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg Ink in stamping the butterflies, flower and to ink the edges of patten papers. Also, used Jenni Bowlin Lemon Drops Ink on the stamp flower at the center and to ink the edges of pattern papers.

 Smile & Enjoy

In this card, I used Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink to distress all the pattern papers. Use the flower stamp that comes along with the kit using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut it out then distress with Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg Ink then attached it to a handmade doily flower. I have misted the doily flower with Tuscan Sun Glimmer Mist. Again, used glossy accents to attached those buttons.

Project Kit – SpringBreak

Spring Break Mini Album
Title was inspired from the kit itself.

and these are the album pages.

Mini album inserts (super minis, handmade tags and tiny tags from the kit),

of course made something to charm the side of mini album...

Spring Break mini album side view.

In this project, I painted the edges of each page using Jenni Bowlin Cough Syrup Acrylic Paint Dabber. Then, I used red tape which is really super sticky to bind the album together; it is really great for binding. Used glossy accents to attached those buttons on album cover and pages.  Also, used Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg Ink and Jenni Bowlin Lemon Drops Ink in some pages and edges of mini album inserts. Inkssentials ink blending tool really makes it easy to get inking done.My Inkssential non stick craft sheet keeps my working space clean and tidy.

Had so much fun and pretty good time doing all the kits. I hope you are inspired to have PPS April 2012 Kits and have fun with it.
